starch.

Q: Will the powder on disposable gloves wash off?
A: Yes, since the powder is only corn starch, it will
wash off your hands, the gloves or any article of clothing.

Q: What is the powder for?
A: The powder is applied to the gloves for a few purposes,
mainly to make the gloves easier to put on and take off,
so they do not stick together and to absorb moisture as
your hands are likely to perspire when in disposable gloves.

Q: Do you have disposable gloves without powder?
A: Yes, we currently sell disposable powder free latex
exam quality gloves and our disposable polyethylene gloves
are powder free as well. In addition, we have the capabilities
to produce all of our disposable gloves as powder free.

Q: Do you have any gloves that are latex free?
A: Yes, we have disposable vinyl, nitrile and poly gloves,
all of which are 100% latex free. We also produce a latex
free nitrile household glove which is also 100% latex free.

Q: What is the difference between the material
types?
A: We produce disposable gloves that are made of latex,
vinyl, nitrile and high density polyethylene. Latex, vinyl
and nitrile look similar, but since they are different
materials they have a little different feel. Latex is made
of natural rubber while vinyl and nitrile are synthetic
materials and are 100% latex free. The greatest difference
in functionality is seen in nitrile as it has higher chemical
resistance and is more resistant to punctures as well.
High density polyethylene, or poly, is quite different
since it is a form of plastic; poly gloves are not as elastic
and are not as form fitting on hands. We produce latex,
latex/Neoprene® blended and nitrile household gloves.
Again, nitrile is more chemical puncture resistant then
latex and Neoprene® is more chemical resistant as well.

Q: Are Clean Ones gloves safe for food handling?
A: Yes, all of our disposable gloves are safe
for food handling.

Q: Do you have any medical grade gloves?
A: Yes, any of our disposable "exam quality" gloves are
medical grade as specified by the FDA. These are the same
quality of gloves as seen in doctor's offices and in hospitals;
however, these are not "sterile" gloves that
surgeons would use. We currently have disposable latex
exam quality gloves, disposable powder free latex exam
quality gloves and disposable latex free vinyl exam quality
gloves.

Q: What is Ultra-Fresh?
A: Ultra-Fresh is the brand of antimicrobial treatment
Clean Ones has added to our Premium and Long Household
gloves (Items 36001/2/3 and 37001/2/3). This is a chemical
treatment that is added to the gloves during the manufacturing
process to protect against odor and stain causing bacteria,
mold and mildew.

Q: Are the poly gloves recyclable?
A: Since polyethylene is plastic, our poly gloves are
recyclable. However, check you local recycling agency to
determine if they have the capabilities to recycle such
a product because different forms of plastic require different
equipment.
